My name is TJ Thomas, and I'm a family man, a martial arts instructor, and a fitness expert with over 20 years of experience.


As the owner of Wichita Airstrike Martial Arts, I am passionate about helping students just like you achieve their goals and reach new heights, both on and off the mat.


But my journey to where I stand today was not easy.


In 2017, I weighed 283 lbs and felt stuck in a rut. It was only when I attended a personal development seminar in Arizona and climbed Camel Back Mountain that I realized I needed to make a change. I promised myself that if I survived the climb, I would change my lifestyle. And I did it! I lost 75 lbs and have helped others lose over 7000 Pounds too!


My story isn't just about my own accomplishments. It's about inspiring others to believe in themselves and realize that anything is possible with the right mindset, plan, and faith in God. Warm Up

Our fitness class kicks off with a dynamic warm-up session, incorporating light cardio exercises and stretches to prepare your body for the upcoming workout while increasing your heart rate and blood flow.

  • What are the benefits of strength training?

    Strength training is beneficial for your body because it can help you reduce body fat, increase lean muscle mass, burn calories more efficiently, develop strong bones, manage chronic conditions and enhance your quality of life. Strength training can also improve your balance, posture and coordination.

  • How often should I do fitness training?

    The frequency of your fitness training depends on your goals, level of fitness and type of exercise. In general, you should aim for at least 150 minutes of moderate aerobic activity or 75 minutes of vigorous aerobic activity per week, and two sessions of strength training per week. You can also vary the intensity, duration and type of exercise to avoid boredom and plateaus

  • What are some of the examples of fitness training exercises?

    We incorporate a variety of high-intensity exercises designed to challenge participants and improve overall fitness. Some examples of exercises you can find in our classes include: 


    - Jumping jacks

    - Push-ups

  • What time of day is best to work out?

    The best time of day to work out varies for each individual and depends on personal preference, schedule, and energy levels. Some people prefer morning workouts to jumpstart their day, while others enjoy evening sessions to unwind. That's why we offer a large selection of classes to choose from!

  • How long are the workouts?

    Most classes last between 45 minutes to an hour. This includes a warm-up, the main workout, and a cool-down/stretching session. Some specialized classes or high-intensity workouts may be shorter, around 30 minutes, while others like bootcamp could be slightly longer around 45-60 minutes.

  • How can I prevent injuries while doing fitness training?

    To prevent injuries while doing fitness training, we always warm up before and cool down after the workout. 


    You should also start slowly and gradually increase the intensity of your exercise as you get more Re-spell this: accostomed to our program. 


    Moreover, you should listen to your body and rest when needed, and avoid overtraining or doing too much too soon. 


    Finally, you should wear appropriate clothing and footwear, and use proper form and technique when doing any exercise. That;s why we'll stand by you on your first couple of days.
